Honoring America’s Wounded Warfighters Gala

Event Information

The Honoring America’s Wounded Warfighters Gala is an annual event in New York City that raises funds to support Move United’s warfighters program that provides free adaptive sports programming nationwide to more than 1,800 wounded warfighters and family members each year.

 

This event is a key fund raiser for Move United’s Warfighter program, where members from the defense industry, the nation’s most prominent business leaders, and others gather for dinner and fellowship to support wounded warriors and the Move United mission. Participants include wounded Soldiers, Seaman, Marines and Airman and their family members who have been served by the Move United Warfighter program, as well as members of the New York City Fire and Police Departments who provide essential support to the event.

 

This year, LT Gen Walter Piatt, Director of the Army Staff and former Commanding General of the 10th Mountain Division in Iraq, is our distinguished military speaker.

 

Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall, SOCOM Commander GEN Richard D. Clarke, Secretary of the Navy Richard Spencer, Secretary of the Army Patrick Murphy, Secretary of the Army McHugh, Secretary of the Army Geren, Secretary of the Air Force Deborah James, Army Chief of Staff GEN Ray Odierno, Marine Commandant GEN Amos, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff GEN Dempsey have been the event’s distinguished guests.
