Robin Schnur

Robin Schnur is the Woman’s Board Executive Director of the Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Learning Center at the Art Institute of Chicago. She joined the museum in 2002, has held multiple roles within the education department, and now leads the team responsible for learning experiences for young people and their adults. Robin has led large-scale projects that advance learning in the museum, including the development of JourneyMaker (2016) and the recent enhancement of the Ryan Learning Center (2020), and collaborates with her team members to produce accessible programs, resources, and spaces that cultivate curiosity and inspire creativity.
Prior to joining the Art Institute, Robin worked in schools and arts organizations in Connecticut, Maine, and Chicago. She completed her BA in art at Williams College and MA in art history, theory, and criticism at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
