Charlene, serves as the Chief of Staff for Jim Beatty Golf Ventures LLC. Charlene is also a 26-year retired Afghanistan Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraq Freedom decorated retired veteran. During her 26 year career, she achieved many outstanding accomplishments.

Charlene, was the first female Sailor of the Year on the Naval ship USS Nassau. She was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal with Gold Stars, the Navy Achievement Medal with Gold Stars and many other medals and ribbons.

Charlene, is a native of Florida and has always been a strategic thinker. During her Navy tenure she earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Organizational Guidance Counseling. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Education.

Charlene, was stationed and worked at many duty stationed to include: Japan, Bahrain, Korea, Italy, Spain, Djibouti, Philippines, Dubai, both Aircraft Carriers USS Carl Vinson and USS Enterprise.

 

Her Naval career highlights include qualifying for dual warfare pins, Master Training Specialist, Lean Sigma Six, supported Navy personnel as a Sexual Assault Victim Advocate, Drug and Alcohol Facilitator, Drug and Alcohol Program Advisor, Navy Drug and Alcohol Program Curriculum Manager Norfolk, Tasked Based Curriculum Developer, Advanced Leadership Developer, Naval Drug and Prevention Specialist Trainer, Correctional Control Specialist, Command Managed Equal Opportunity, Casualty Assistance Call Officer, a Command Fitness Coordinator, certified Spin, Step Aerobics, and Zumba instructor.

 

 

Charlene, also worked with Jim Beatty and Rodney Little, on the historical first African American Golf EXPO, in Marietta GA, August 2021, and 2nd AAG huge committee in Charlotte, North Carolina this August 2022, most recently instrumental in 2023 PGA Show’s Diversity and Inclusion Roundtable Forum in Orlando Fla as well as assisted in the 1st Annual Antonio Holmes Million Dollar Charity Golf Tournament Super Bowl weekend 2023 in Arizona.

 

 

Charlene, states, “I can not begin to explain just how much golf has positively changed my life physically, mentally and spiritually as well. I constantly share my experience with as many as possible. Because, I honestly want them to enjoy and share what I love, adore and cherish in respect to golf!! Hence, the reason I would love to give youngsters the same tools via The First Tee Program.  “I honestly believe that the game of golf saves lives. Speaking from personal experience. PLAYING GOLF HAS SAVED MY LIFE. IN FACT, GOLF HAS BEEN MY LIFELINE. I encourage everyone to indulge in the wonderful game that impacts millions of lives yearly.” “Golfing, takes me away from the world of chaos including pain and into a world of love, peace and harmony.”

 

After Charlene retired from the military, she immersed herself in the game of golf. Charlene, is Golf Heritage Society American member, an Ambassador for the 2023 Solheim in Spain, a MOVE UNITED member/Ambassador ,an Adaptive Golf Sports member, Golf A Heritage Society Ambassador, LPGA Amateur member, USGA member, VSGA member, Fairways to Warrior member, A Perfect Swing Golf member, Girls with Goals LLC supporter, an Adaptive Golf Sports member, A GCSAA member, District 15: GCSAA Ambassador, A Special Olympics volunteer, Lead For All member, a Mission Continues Alumni, a Catch A Lift Fund Athlete, the Military Veterans representative member for the “We Are Golf Diversity Task Force Subcommittee, Pink Beret advocate in support of invisible wounds and cease of domestic violence, member of the Wounded Warrior program and a ParaSport volunteer certified with Move United.
